What Goes Around Comes Around

So this is what it's like to be a parent. I mean, I've been a parent for 2 years now, but I'm talking a parent of a school-going child. Granted, David is only 2 years old and goes to preschool, but I am now experiencing what it's like on the other side of the teacher's desk. Having taught for 8 years in grades kindergarten-4th grade I have certianly seen many a young man or young lady with less than desirable behavior. And, in those 8 years I have had to report countless incidents or events in which a child was doing something inappropriate. And, so, here it is...my turn. In the one month David has attended his preschool I have received more incident reports than I can count on one hand. I check his folder every afternoon dreading what I may find. I enter his classroom wondering what tales of hitting, biting, scratching, or general destructing and terrorizing I may hear. I just know David is the kid that the teacher hopes may be absent for a day or two. I know teachers think that because I have thought it before! I guess karma does exsist.

  1. WHAT?! You mean to tell me David isn't perfect and not the Champion like his father?:) The two's can be tough but they do have lots of good moments too:)
