Pocket Change {The Shine Project and CHANGE 4 CHANGE}

I'm over the moon for Ashley @ The Shine Project.  She's beautiful inside and out.  Ashley and her huge heart wants to motivate people, give back, pay it forward, serve others, change the world

Ashley created The Shine Project Scholarship Fund and is encouraging people to collect change in a jar (um, how easy!) with the CHANGE 4 CHANGE campaign.  All money raised goes to help inner-city high school students pay for college.  Her goal is to get 100 people to pledge to collect $100 by October 2011.  That's 10 grand, folks.  All for kids to go to college.  As a teacher this is near and dear to my heart.  And it is even helping students in my own backyard, Arizona.

Also, check out Ashley's adorable necklaces.  One dollar from every necklace sold goes right into The Shine Project Scholarship Fund.  Look cute and donate money.  That's what I'm talking about!

Here's my jar.  You can do one, too.  Change in a jar, it's that easy.

P.S. - Right after taking these lovely photos, my CHANGE 4 CHANGE jar was accidently knocked off the table and subsequently broke into a million pieces upon hitting the tile floor.  Sad face.  Not to worry though, I fished out all the monies (3yo speak for 'money') and placed them in a temporary container.  Today's assignment:  find another perfect wide mouth jar!
